Battery Back Up

I noticed in one of the previous posts you mentioned that a battery backup was in development. How soon is this likely to be on the market?

I've no idea when that will be available - if at all. All I know it is a feature a lot of people suggest so if a Pet Porte 2 comes out then it could well have that feature but not for some time.

In the meantime you are best off ordering and then using a UPS (uninterruptable power supply) that you can obtain cheaply from a store such as Maplins. This is only really applicable if you live in an area that is frequently troubled with power cuts.
