Default Development

Hi there,

I was wondering if you are/had any plans to develop this cat flap to incorporate a few more features.
I love the fact that my cats do not need to wear collars for this, but I found an infra red flap that allows you to set times that individual cats can come and go. So for example, if one cat needs to be locked in to go to the vets, you don’t need to lock them all in.
Can you tell us if there are any new features in the pipeline?

Thanks very much!

That would require a sensor on both sides which would increase the price but I will forward all suggestions to the product development team.

Other features being developed are a battery backup accessory so that the Pet Porte will continue to work during a power cut and a circular version that can be fitted into an existing hole cut in double glazing for example.

Any more ideas? Please reply with them below.

Ooh do let us know if the backup battery becomes available - that's the one extra feature I would def go in case of power cut.

Still loving the flap - oh the joy of seeing the 2 eyes at night on the other side unable to get in as opposed to feeding and housing all cats on the street previously!! Plus our cat is so much more relaxed now and will happily stretch out on the floor on a rug whereas before he would only sleep upstairs or somewhere higher up like the table and even then be constantly looking at the back door at the slightest noise. He also seems to know his beep means it's open just for him!

I've passed all your comments onto the manufacturer who was very interested to hear them.

If you have any more suggestions please post them below.

Thank you.
