Hi James,

We have recently bought the pet porte and don't seem be able to get our cats chips to register. They are chipped with and identichip one - with a 10 diget number. We have checked with the vet and the chips are still active (they were done 10 years ago).

Any suggestions?

They need a 15 digit microchip. You could have them rechipped and the new chip will take over.

The strongest chips are Bayer Tracer in terms of read range.

There is a chip checker on our website where you can check your cats microchip numbers.
