| I am considering purchasing a Pet Porte cat flap and installing into a door, but a little confused when I try to envisage the installation. What happens to the wire from the power point to the cat flap when you open and close your door - you would surely need to leave enough slack so that when the door opens, it doesn't pull the cable from the socket, but when closing the door would you be bending down to pull it out of the way? I have read the installation papers, but it doesn't actually show a picture of an installed cat flap with wires leading from and into the power point. Help...? Des |

| The wires go across the hinge side of the door. You do need to leave a loop of wire to allow for opening and closing but that's all. It's difficult to photograph because the wire just blends in to the white UPVC. It's hardly even noticable.

| LOL! It's not very likely that your cats would think the wire was a toy. Even if they did they wouldn't be able to damage the wire in any way. It is very hard wearing. We recommend using either cable tacks or duct tape to secure the wire and make it look neat. Alternatively you could use trunking but in most houses that is not necessary. We had one customer who was an interior designer and her house is totally wire-free. She got an electrician and plasterer to conceal the wire inside the wall cavity. She even painted the cat flap a different colour. If you're reading this by the way please email me those photos you promised!

| Hi James I live close to an airport, although not in the flight path, but I can see the planes taking off on the horizon, anyway, would this interfere with the pet porte, as I sometimes pick up the radio waves from the control tower on my bathroom radio - quite bizare ! If I brought the pet porte and found that airport did interfere, could I get a refund? thanks Des |

| There is no chance of any interference any more. All the microchip cat flaps we sell have a high security mode built in. There is no need to activate the high security mode in any cat flap purchased from us. The refund policy is for 30 days from receipt. You can return the cat flap for a full refund within that time for any reason.
