How to clean cat urine?

I've got a serious cat urine problem due to my next door neighbours tom cat coming in and spraying over me and my house.

The smell is making my female cat nervous and I'm finding it very hard to get rid of the odour.

Every time I clean the area up where the tom cat has sprayed the smell just comes back.

I'm looking forward to the Pet Porte arriving as I feel sure it will stop the tom cat getting inside but what can I do to clean the cat urine smell away once and for all?

When cat urine crystalises it can be very hard to remove because when the water dries the crystals reappear and you get that ammonia smell again.

Several products are on the market that may help. We don't sell them but you can try a product called "Urine Off" which several customers have said is good. It is available from most pet shops.

If that tom cat sprays you again, spray him back - with a child's water pistol. He won't know it's only water and will assume you're doing exactly the same as him. He'll soon learn. That was the advice that my vet gave me and it works. It is quite an effective disciplinary device for other wayward behaviour too.
